Joint Centralized Admission Test (JCAT) is an entrance examination for the induction in Master of Surgery, Master of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Medicine at Public or Private Institutes / Teaching Hospitals in Punjab. The test is conducted twice a year, and the result is valid for three years.

Are you Eligible?
Candidates must meet the following criteria to apply for the JCAT:1) Must hold an MBBS / BDS degree from an HEC / PMC recognized Institute.
2) One year of House Jobs done from a PMC recognized Teaching Institute.
3) Must have a Permanent or Provisional PMC Registration Certificate.
Examination Center
The JCAT Examination will be conducted in Lahore.Paper Pattern
There will be a total of 125 MCQs in the paper, and each MCQ will be of 2 marks (Total 250 marks). There will be no Negative Marking.Documents Required during Online Application
1) A recent Passport Size Photograph2) CNIC or Passport
3) Matric and Intermediate Marksheet / Degree
4) MBBS / BDS Degree or Transcript
5) PMC Provisional / Permanent Certificate
6) House Job Certificate
Here is the step by step guide to apply for the JCAT
Steps for Registration
Step 1
Open the link to apply for the exam.Step 2
Click on Register and select your desired program and category. Enter your CNIC number and email. After that click on proceed button.Step 3
You will receive a verification email at your provided email address. Click on the link to verify your account.Note: Make sure to check your Spam box.
Step 4
Once your email has been verified, you will receive the login details of your account on your email.Step 5
Click on proceed button in step 3 to log in to your account. Enter your email and password and click on login.Step 6
After logging in to your account, you will be required to generate a fee challan. Enter the details and click on generate challan. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click on Ok to proceed.Step 7
Fee Challan will appear and take print of it and submit in the bank.Step 8
Once you have submitted the fee, log in to your account, and click on upload challan. Enter the details and click on next. Again the confirmation message will appear. Click on Ok to proceed.Note: Take a clear picture of the paid bank challan.
Step 9
Now you will be required to fill out the application form. Click on proceed button.Step 10
Enter your personal, academic, and house job information.Step 11
Upload the documents and click on submit. A confirmation message will appear again. Click on Ok to submit it.Note: Don't use any online converter and image compressor. For resizing the image use "Paint" in Windows and click on the resize option.
Step 12
Now your application is submitted successfully. You have to take print of the application and submit the application form along with attested copies of documents and original bank deposit to the office of the assistant registrar (academics), Patiala Block, King Edward Medical University, Lahore by hand or through courier.If you still face any problem then feel free to Contact Us (Click Here).
