Chevening Scholarship for Medical and Dental Graduates 2020-21

Chevening Scholarship is the UK's International Scholarship Program that offers future leaders a unique opportunity to study in the UK. It is one of the most prestigious international postgraduate scholarship which is available to the Pakistani Students. Chevening Scholarships are funded by the partner organizations and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
These awards are fully funded and are available for Masters Program (One-year duration) in the UK.

Are you Eligible?

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
  1. Must be a citizen of Pakistan
  2. Must return to the country for a minimum of two years after the award has ended.
  3. Hold an equivalent Undergraduate Upper Second class 2:1 honors degree (Min 60% marks for Pakistani Degree). All the components of the degree must be completed.
  4. Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience*. If you have worked for 2,800 hours in less than two years, you are still eligible to apply.
  5. Apply to 3 different eligible UK University Courses and have received an Unconditional Offer from one of the chosen Universities by 15th July 2021.

The work experience includes:
  • Full-time employment
  • Part-time employment
  • Voluntary work
  • Paid / Unpaid Internships
  • Freelancing
  • Self-employment

Candidates who have gained Work experience before or after an undergraduate degree is still eligible. If your work experience was a mandatory part of the university course then this will not be count towards the experience.
No Physical proof is required for work experience. However, if the application of a candidate is progressed to the interview stage, then a series of questions regarding the work experience will be asked by the panel.

Note: English Language Requirement has been removed for the applicants applying for the Scholarship due to the current situation. Therefore, the candidates will not need to provide evidence for the English language proficiency test. However, they have to meet the requirements of their chosen University.


What the Scholarship will Cover?

The Scholarship will cover the following:
  • University Tuition Fee
  • A Monthly Stipend
  • Cost of one visa application
  • Travel cost to and from the UK
  • An arrival allowance
  • A homeward departure allowance
  • A travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.
