National Science Talent Contest (NSTC) has opened applications for the competition to be held in 2021 at different locations across the world. National Science Talent Contest (NSTC) is a joint venture of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS). The mission of the NSTC / STEM Career Program is to encourage more youngsters in the field o Science and to represent their country at the International Level.
Shortlisted students will undergo subject training at local Universities across Pakistan. Selected students will be awarded cash prizes and certificates and PIEAS will offer undergraduate admission to the members of the Olympiad Team without any entrance test.
2) Students currently enrolled in 9th, 10th and 11th grade (Matric / O-Level / FSc Part-I / A-Level-I) are eligible to apply.
3) Must have 60% marks or more in core science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Computer, and Mathematics) in the last exam.
Note: Students currently in FSc Part-II / A-Level-II and in University are not eligible to apply for National Science Talent Contest.
Total Time: 3 hours Total Marks: 100
Part-I will contain Multiple Choice Questions each from the following Subjects -
1) Biology / Computer - 5 Mcqs
2) Chemistry - 5 Mcqs
3) Physics - 5 Mcqs
4) Mathematics - 5 Mcqs
Part-II
The subject of Interest - 50 Mcqs
Descriptive Questions of Subject - 30 Marks
There is negative marking of 0.3 for each wrong Mcq in Part-II.
Note: Scientific Calculators are allowed in the Test.
