NUMS PG Admissions 2020

National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has invited applications for postgraduate admissions 2020. National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi is a public sector university that was established in 2015. The University is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). The University is administered and run by Pakistan Army. NUMS is also establishing a new Medical City in Islamabad.
NUMS is offering various postgraduate programs at its constituent and affiliated medical / teaching institutes.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

PhD Programs
  • Minimum 18 years of education (Masters / M.Phil / FCPS or equivalent qualification) recognized by HEC with 60% marks in the annual system or CGPA of 3.0/4.0 in semester system.
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification from a PMDC recognized University / Institute with valid PMDC registration.
  • BDS or non-MBBS can apply for Molecular Medicine Program
  • NTS GAT Subject Test for Biochemistry (Minimum 60% marks) is required while for the rest of the programs NUMS will conduct its own test. The passing marks in NUMS Entry Test will be 70%.

M.Phil Programs
  • Minimum 16 years of education from a recognized University.
  • MBBS / BDS or equivalent qualification from a PMDC recognized University / Institute with valid PMDC registration.
  • Must have passed NTS GAT General Test with 50% marks. 
  • Candidates having MBBS can apply in all programs except Dental Materials and Oral Pathology.
  • Candidates having BDS can apply in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Dental Materials, Oral Pathology, and Molecular Medicine.
  • Non-MBBS / BDS can apply to the Molecular Medicine Program.
Note: Candidates who have not given NTS GAT General Test are required to appear in the upcoming November test. They are advised to submit their result by 27th November to admissions2020@numspak.edu.pk.


MSc / Diploma
  • MBBS or equivalent with a one-year house job and valid PMDC registration.
  • Two years of experience in Anesthesia at a recognized Institute / hospital for MSc Anesthesia and one year experience for Diploma.
  • Appearing in NUMS Entry Test is mandatory (minimum  50% marks).

After filling and uploading the required documents, click on the submit button. Upon successful submission of the form, the candidates will be able to print the fee challan. Submit the fee and upload the copy of the challan in your account.
