Only seven Pakistani Universities were listed in the prestigious QS World Universities Rankings 2021. These same Universities were listed in the previous years.
The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) University Rankings is an annual publication of University rankings which are among the few International Rankings that are looked by students, academicians, and industries as a reliable source. This year's top 10 positions have been grabbed by the majority of UK and USA Universities. MIT has been ranked again at the top spot by the QS World University Rankings.
The seven Pakistani Universities included in the QS World University Rankings are National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Comsats University (CU), University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore and University of the Punjab (PU).
NUST occupied the highest rank of 355 in Pakistani Universities followed by PIEAS, which is on the 373th spot.
Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) was ranked below these two on the 454th spot. The LUMS also improved its ranking and listed at 651-700, while the others are in the 801-1000 group.
