UET revised Undergraduate Admission Policy 2020

University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore has announced a new Admission Policy for its Undergraduate Programs. The Policy will be applicable from 2020 and onwards. The authorities have revised the eligibility criteria and aggregate formula for admission to its Undergraduate Programs.



Eligibility Requirements

The applicant must have
1) At least 60% marks in Intermediate / DAE or equivalent foreign qualification examination excluding sports and Hafiz marks.

2) Minimum CGPA of at least 2.5 / 4.0 in BSc Engineering Technology or equivalent degree.

3) Minimum of 'C' grade in the subjects of Physics, Mathematics / Biology and Chemistry / Computer Science in A-Level Examination.

4) He should be a bonafide resident of the area from where he seeks admission.

5) He should meet standards of Physique and eyesight as laid down in the medical certificate.

Aggregate Formula

The applicant must have a minimum of 50% aggregate. Aggregate marks are computed according to the following formula:
Intermediate 
ECAT - 50%
Matric - 25%
HSSC-I 45%

Diploma Holders 
ECAT - 30%
Sum of First and Second year - 70%

BSc Engineering Technology or equivalent degree holders
ECAT - 30%
7 semesters CGPA if the degree is not completed - 70%

Foreign qualifications
ECAT - 30%
Marks earned in O-Level (Part-I) or equivalent - 70%


Note

1) In case the candidate has already completed his / her intermediate or equivalent qualification, their Part-I result would be used in the computation of Aggregate.

2) In case of a foreign qualification, a letter grade will be converted to marks by IBCC formula.

3) In the case of BSc Engineering Technology degree holders, CGPA of 2.5 / 4.0 would be treated as 60%  and 4.0 / 4.0 would be treated as 90%. Other CGPA's would be treated accordingly.

4) All candidates, with the exception of DAE qualified candidates, who has appeared in a particular subject combination in the Entry test will only be considered for admission in the prescribed disciplines relevant to the subject combination.
