Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) Admissions 2017. PIEAS was established in the year 1967 as a public sector university. Its old name was Rector School. PIEAS started its educational activities when it was affiliated with Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. The institute became independent in 1997. PIEAS is recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC) and its Engineering programs are accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). PIEAS is currently ranked at No. 2 by Higher Education Commission (HEC). PIEAS offers various undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. PIEAS has strong cooperation with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Eligibility Criteria
Following is the eligibility criteria for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Prigrams:
Undergraduate Programs

Candidates should have at least 60% marks in both Matriculation / O-level and Intermediate / A-level.
Pre-Engineering Students can apply for BS Mechanical and BS Electrical Engineering. Pre-Engineering and ICS students can apply for BS Computer and Information Sciences.
Pre-Medical candidates can apply if they have given additional paper of mathematics.

Note: Candidates appearing in FSc Part-II / A levels exams, but expecting to secure a required percentage of marks are eligible to apply.
SAT-II Criteria
Candidates having minimum score of 2000 in three subjects (Physics, Maths, and Chemistry) can apply on the basis of SAT-II.
