Schlumberger Foundation has opened applications for its Faculty for the Future Fellowship Program 2020-21. The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty of the Future Program is for the women who want to pursue PhD or Post doctoral research at the leading universities of the world. The Schlumberger Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports STEM education for women.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply the candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Should be a permanent Female citizen of Pakistan and doesn't hold dual Nationality.
2. Should have applied / admitted / enrolled to a host university / research institute in a foreign university.
3. Should hold an excellent academic record
4. Willing to go back to the home country after the completion of their studies to contribute to its socio-economic development.
5. The applicant should have a proven record of teaching experience in Pakistan and can demonstrate your commitment to going back home to: an academic / research position in STEM faculty And / OR Knowledge to become an entrepreneur to help resolve the challenges in the country And / OR Demonstrate leadership by contributing to the public sector to provide support for STEM policy-making.
6. The applicant should demonstrate leadership skills, active community outreach and she should have a track record of encouraging girls and women into STEM.

Award

Up to USD 50,000 for PhD
Up to USD 40,000 for Post Doc

Note: The grant or award is for one academic year and can be renewed based on the performance. For renewal, candidates have to apply again.

Criteria for Selection

The selection criteria depend on the following:

• Academic performance
• Quality of references
• Quality of Host University
• The scientific interest of the research proposal
• The relevance of research to home country
• Evidence of intent to return to home country
• Commitment to teaching
• Commitment to inspiring young women into the sciences
